The Historic Elitch Theatre was one of my favorite volunteer opportunities, and one of my favorite challenges for marketing. In 2014, they were seeking help for general marketing assistance as they worked to revive the dilapidated theatre that celebrated it’s 125th Anniversary in 2016. Significant goals of HET include extensive fundraising, generating local and national awareness, and brand development.

As a member of the Marketing Committee, I assisted in planning events, including the first New Works Festival, their annual wine tasting, First Friday’s and more. Marketing tasks included developing consistency and strategy for their social media presence, photography at events, copywriting and editing for programs, website and social.

Last but not least was establishing, coordinating and launching the relationship with Fire Ant Studio, who recently completed the revamped website for HET.
